The villa is an old mill whose origin is lost in time, in between two small mountain rivers that provided the mill with energy, with an old medieval, or maybe roman, bridge. We have lived here since 1977, moved from a city big enough to stress us out. Little by little over the years, we brought back to our new life the old structures, the gardens, the olives, the stone walls, etc… through a work that has no end... The farm is always organic and we produce olive oil, honey, vegetables and fruit, and in our kitchen, we prepare conserves, jams, marmalades, olives and peppers in oil, we grow herbs, and bottle our own limoncello and other liquors. We do not produce wine, but we but it from a farm close by, and it is organic and biodynamic; the same with local cheese and fresh milk from local cows. During the year, there are always a few people from all over the world to give us a hand, through WWOOF (WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farming).
The farm is also a therapeutic farm, where people can come with any problems, and who just want to work on a farm for a time. Also, every year, we organize a collective garden, for those who do not have space at home, open to whoever would like to participate. Fortunately or unfortunately, every day a new idea passes through our heads, and we try to make it a reality…
